I titled this "Reaching Out to the Other Side". It's a combination of Prismacolor and graphite. Much to my surprise I actually had fun doing this. I thought it would be a lot harder than it was. Happily I learned they could be compatible. Not to say I didn't run into problems but I figured out how to make the two work together pretty quickly.

Beautiful Linda! Of course I expect nothing less ;). You have combined these two mediums with such grace and drama, tis a work to behold!
Yet, it has "you" written all over it.
Good luck with your entry dear!
gorgeous work :) nice detail on the lacey background
This is beautiful, Linda. You have such an amazing eye for developing compositions that work and flow well.
Sorry about the previous post. I wish the comment section had spell check. Your latest is absolutely wonderful. I am always awe struck when I see your work.
Beautiful! As Toni said, it has 'you' written all over it! :-)
Linda, fyi: I have quoted you in my blog -- you must see! lolol
So amazing Linda! The hints of color throughout the lace pull the whole piece together. I am in awe!
Good luck!
Stunning! Not easy to do either. A masterful piece.
beautiful piece & great composition! Thanks for sharing the fact that graphite & color pencil can work happily together--I've been telling my students not to use them together, but now I can say "yes"!
I wouldn't go so far as to say graphite and colored pencil are compatible and I don't use them together however if you use graphite in one place and colored pencil in another as I did they can work together.
well. this is just fabulous!
